I downloaded the correct AMT 7 management interface driver for the box and rather than allow it to auto install I just extracted the files to a folder THEN I went to device manager and updated the driver manually by pointing the update to the extract folder. I got the “You already have a newer version, are you sure? My machine is an XPS LX with the 2nd generation i7 and the the series 6 chipset if that ever helps anyone. I understand that this computer is no longer supported by dell, however, I am hoping that someone did the upgrade successfully and can help direct me as to what I can do to fix the issue.
